Molly Ohly

Ohly, Molly – Passed away at Froedtert Hospital on September 7, 2024, aged 53, following a brief illness.

Molly is survived by sister Anna Ohly and brother Walter (Laure) Ohly. Also survived by nephews Aaron (Stephanie) Ohly, Nicholas Ohly, Tyler Ohly, and Kaden Ohly; nieces Tonya Ohly and Hannah Ohly. She was preceded in death by father Ignaz Ohly; mother Maria Ohly (nee Schneider); brothers Karl-Erik Ohly and Tony Ohly; sister-in-law Georgia Ohly; and niece Jacqueline Ohly.

Molly was born with Cerebral Palsy and thrived under the care of her brother Karl-Erik, who explored every avenue possible to enable her to enjoy life. She loved horseback riding, bowling, swimming, and adaptive water skiing. She was a fan of Hello Kitty and Curious George and had the stuffed animal collection to show it. Molly loved the weekdays when she could spend time with her friends at Easterseals. On the weekends she enjoyed family dinners, festivals, the zoo, or whatever random adventure her family chose.

You could always get a good laugh by doing something goofy in front of her, but she would be the first to call you out if you did something wrong. She couldn’t speak with her mouth, but her body language said everything you needed to hear (and some things you didn’t). She was sweet but sassy and will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.

A private family service will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A celebration of life to take place at a later date.
