Meredith Ann Sipe Sumner, 47, passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2026 with her beloved husband, Trevor, by her side.
Meredith was born on May 24, 1979 in Stillwater, MN to Kristi and Randall Sipe. At Stillwater High School, she was active in choir and musical theatre. Her passion for music led her to UW-Eau Claire, where she earned a degree in music education.
She began her career teaching choral music in Minnesota and then moved on to Wisconsin where she continued teaching at Muskego High School and went on to perform in her own band, Parallel. Music was more than something she created; it was how she connected, comforted, celebrated, and loved.
Meredith also had a passion for creating and entrepreneurship. She took a leap of faith and left her established career in education to pursue her dream of launching a wedding planning business. Blue Fancy became one of the highest rated luxury wedding planning companies in Wisconsin. Her entrepreneurial and creative spirit continued with another business venture, Fancy Free Buttonry, where she designed and created treasured pieces of jewelry from vintage buttons.
Meredith loved deeply and without reservation. She found the love of her life in her husband, Trevor. They traveled the world and prioritized time together making meaningful memories. Meredith also cherished her sons, Jonathon and Austin, and delighted in family time. She was fiercely devoted and proud to be their mother.
Meredith built meaningful connections and new friendships everywhere she went. Her laughter was contagious and her smile unforgettable. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her courage to live boldly and authentically.
Meredith is preceded in death by her grandparents Melvin and Delores Sipe and Hilmer and Dorothy Glanzman as well as several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her loving husband, Trevor, her two sons, Jonathon (17) and Austin (8), her parents Kristi and Randall, her brother Kris, her mother and father-in-law Cindy and William, her brother-in-law Dustin, her sister-in-law Paige (Nick), and further survived by many beloved friends.
