MaryAnn was suddenly called by God on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the age of 83 due to complications of a stroke.
She was born in Sewickley, PA on December 23, 1939 to Mary (nee Bercik) and Andrew Seman, now deceased. She is survived by her husband, John, to whom she was married for 61 years. In addition she is survived by her daughters: Jane (Richard) Bubik and Carolyn (Tom) Bouley and granddaughters: Rachel (Jake) Bailen and Sarah (Bailey) Weber. She is also survived by her brothers Richard (Carol) Seman and William (June) Smith from Pennsylvania.
MaryAnn was a graduate of Robert Morris College in Business. For 20 years prior to retirement in 2001, she was an executive assistant to various Vice-Presidents of Development at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. After retirement, she moved to New Berlin, WI with her husband and became a professional grandmother and advisor to her daughters and granddaughters. In addition, she became a Super Fan of the Milwaukee Brewers! MaryAnn was also very active in the sleeping bag ministry at St. Matthias Church for many years. In addition, she knitted hundreds of hats for the homeless and other charities while watching Brewer games on TV.
She will be remembered for greeting everyone with a smile, being concerned about everyone’s children and well-being, and remembering everyone in her prayers. Everyone who met her loved her and as many people have said, “she was everyone’s favorite!”
The mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Matthias Church – Milwaukee, WI on January 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. at St. Matthias prior to the mass.
