Mary Jane Larson, 84, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 10th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Julie (Dennis) Mattes of Sussex and Barbara (William) Waldrop of Pewaukee; her grandson, Josh Schliewe and granddaughters, Dezyrae Larson (Austin Hoffmann), Lilly Larson and great-grandson Jaxon.
Mary will be missed by her brother-in-law Palmer “Butch” (Ruthann) Larson, and many special cousins, nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Jim Larson, her parents Rex and Muriel (O’Leary) Timm, her brother John Timm, special sister Joanne (late Clayton) Moe, brother-in-law Robert (late Dorothy) Larson, sister in laws Bonnie (late Faye) Peaslee, Karen (late Melvin) Kuschel, Annie (late John) Lemke. Parents in law Palmer and Alma (nee Sheets) Larson.
Mary was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on February 11, 1942. She graduated from Mindoro High School in 1960. In 1961 she attended beauty school and became a beautician. She worked at a beauty salon in La Crosse where she developed many friendships with her customers.
Mary married the love of her life, Jim, in 1965 and was blessed with two daughters, Julie and Barbara. Mary cherished the years being a wife and mother to her daughters. She was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother and often said that was her greatest joy.
She did many years of volunteering at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church & School where she was an active member since 1980. Mary was also a Milwaukee Brewer and Bucks fan and rarely missed a game.
Mary will be remembered for helping and serving others, her great sense of humor, her fun personality and her positive outlook on life!
Visitation will held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 1650 North Brookfield Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Service at 1:00 PM. Luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall.
