Mary F. Johnson

Mary Frances (Mullins) Johnson was born on April 21, 1942 in Hope, Arkansas to the union of Huzie and Willie Bee Mullins. Mary spent her early years in Arkansas before her family relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mary was the oldest of two children and she always cherished her relationship with her younger brother, Alfred.

She received her formal education in the Milwaukee Public Schools. Mary accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and recently reaffirmed her faith in God.

Mary was united in holy matrimony to Sidney R. Johnson on March 9, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Marc Brown, April Mullins and Lisa Mullins all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mary spent most of her life as a loving wife and mother caring for her children and grandchildren. She was employed at Harnischfeger Corporation as a Data Processor. She was also employed as a dietary assistant for Milwaukee Public Schools.

Mary enjoyed cooking, bowling, playing bingo and shooting darts. Mary was sought after for many family gatherings and dinners with a request for her to provide her superb pan of macaroni and cheese. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her children, extended family, and socializing with her friend group.

Mary departed this life on Thursday, April 10, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Johnson, parents, Huzie and Wille Bee Mullins, and grandson, Marques J. Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory; three children, Marc Brown, April Mullins and Lisa Mullins all of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Eight grandchildren, Ronje’ (Monique) Horton of Katy, Texas, Lily (Juan) Carlos of Orlando, Florida, Isabella Brown of Chicago, Illinois, Isaiah Brown, David Chambers, Jr., Joshua Saffold, Daniel Currie all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, special daughters Jennifer Stinson and Dawn Goodlow and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM. Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at Wood National Cemetery.
