Mary Ann Wille passed away unexpectedly on the morning of July 16, 2022.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, John Allen Wille, her loving parents Virginia “Ginny” and Peter “Pete” Wessinger, and her adored sister, Linda Lee Thielmann.
Mary is survived by her children Amy (Dan) Romano, Tina Marie (Andy) Captain, Victoria Vallone, and John “Nunzio” (Carly) Vallone. Also survived by her precious grandchildren Anthony Vallone, Spencer Captain, Hannah Vallone, Sofie Captain, and Nunzio Vallone, and great-grandson Calogero Vallone, as well as her beloved dogs (they meant the world to Mary).
Mary was manager at Hardees (once the kids were grown), until she needed to care for her husband after a spinal injury. Mary was devoted to taking care of John until his passing. She found comfort in her dogs and cherished each one. She also enjoyed decorating every room in the house for the holidays.
Mary’s children say that she taught them to make something out of nothing, find the humor in everything, (including themselves), “say it like it is” (and maybe apologize later), enjoy life to its fullest (of course in moderation), have a strong work ethic and most importantly to have compassion and empathy for the world around you. Mary was known to be the life of every gathering she would attend, laughing and singing into the wee hours.
“Mary had a contagious smile and laugh that will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!”
Memorials contributions appreciated to The Betty White Animal Foundation or the Vietnam Veterans of America.
