Mark Brunner passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at Accent Care Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Mark was born on April 17, 1959, to Dale and Diane (nee Lutgen) Brunner. He grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and attended Wauwatosa East High School. During his high school years, he began working for Krause Auto Body and continued there until he retired. He also began racing at Hales Corner Speedway at that time. His love of racing began in High School, and he enjoyed many years competing there and at other racetracks in Wisconsin. He truly enjoyed watching any race and cherished his racing community.
On October 20, 2011, he married Amy Skenadore. Together they enjoyed traveling, hitting the Casinos up north and hanging out with their buddy, Lakota.
Mark is lovingly survived by his fiancé, Laurie Watson, his brothers Jeff (Deb), John (Deb), and Randy (Jody). Proud Uncle of Kristin, Justin, Alison (Parker), and Katie (Steven). Great Uncle of McKayla and Max. Further survived by his cousins, good friends, and his racing family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Amy, Aunt Sharlene, Uncle Roger, mother-in-law, Dory and his buddy Lakota.
The family would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at St. Luke’s, Aurora, West Allis and the exceptional care he received at Accent Care Hospice. We thank you for your love and compassion.
Gathering will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Visitation from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM with service to bein at 3:00 PM.
