Marjorie D. Wertel (nee Mattson), 92, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026. She was born on October 18, 1933 to Otto and Ida Mattson.

Marj is survived by her nephews, Morrie, Brad, and Stewart, her niece Sheryl, her close friend Andy Smith, and her friends from Benediction Lutheran Church.

Marj was preceded in death by her parents, her sons Gary and Kevin, and her brother Vernon and sister Lucille Gough.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with service at 12:00 PM, on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marj will be laid to rest privately at Valhalla Memorial Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
