Marilyn was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Washington High School. She met the love of her life, while she was waiting in the car for her friend to return from a motorcycle ride. Otto saw Marilyn sitting in a car and knew this was the woman he was going to marry. They wed on June 25, 1955, at St Catherine’s Catholic Church. They were blessed and thankful to welcome five children into the world. Her most important job after loving God and sharing her faith, was being a homemaker, wife and mother. Marilyn always thought being a wife and a mother was a privilege. She loved to decorate, bake, sew, sing and dance. She worked hard at every job she had. She modeled, taught dancing, worked at Bruce Publishing, Clean Cut Tool and Die (the family business.) Steinhafels, George Watts, Tivoli’s, St Eugene’s, Mrs. Karl’s, Kohl’s and cleaning people’s homes.
She was a dedicated, longtime member at St Bernadette’s Catholic Church. She made rosaries, scapulars, worked at bake sales, the annual fair and cleaned the church. Marilyn had a servant’s heart. Her love for God was always evident as she donated her time, talents and treasure. She had a special devotion to Mary and Holy Hill. Most of all Marilyn dearly loved her family and spending time with them making memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
