Woodson, Mallie P.
Born into eternal life on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the age of 97. Cherished mother of Victor, Nina, Barbara, Lawrence (deceased), Sharon, Denise, Darrell, Adrian, Keith and Carla. Grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother to many.
Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, Mallie accepted Christ and was baptized at the early age of 18. She resided in Henderson, KY, Belleville, Illinois and Washington, DC. She then relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which became her permanent residence, and where she met her significant other, Larry, who preceded her in death on October 17, 2005. Mallie was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church for many years where she served on the pastor’s aide committee. Mallie’s favorite scripture was Psalm 23 and towards the last days of her life she would recite this daily.
She was very active and lived life to the fullest. Mallie was a homemaker the majority of her life, but she also worked in nursing facilities caring for the elderly, taking care of babies in childcare and in the food industry. She had a love for animals and enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels in her backyard. Mallie loved music and singing, going to concerts, basketball games, and the zoo. She loved watching Tom and Jerry cartoons and loved her stuffed animals. Mallie had a love for so much but most of all she loved spending time with family.
“We loved you then and always, forever in our hearts and memories!”
