Lowell Anthony Wolf passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024 at the age of 80 after a long battle with Parkinsons at Angel’s Grace Hospice with his loving family by his side. Lowell was the dear husband of 60 years to Betsy and loving father of Sean (Elise) and Devin (Amy) Wolf. Proud grandfather of Lauren Wolf and Parker, Mac and Gus Wolf. Lowell is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lucille (nee Butler), his brother Leland and Lee’s wife Sally. He is survived by his sister, Lynne, and many loved sister-and brother-in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Lowell was born in Waukesha on November 14, 1943. He was raised in Dousman and attended St. Bruno’s Catholic grade school, Catholic Memorial High School, and UW-Oshkosh where he majored in Geology. Lowell married his high school sweetheart Betsy (nee Link) in 1964.
Lowell had a fierce competitive nature in life and in business. He began racing go-karts at a young age with his brother, Lee, and later went on to race cars and snowmobiles. In high school, Lowell was on the golf team and was a state champion wrestler. Later, Lowell took that competitive nature to build and grow Wolf Paving Company where he cared deeply about his employees. He was involved in many professional and fraternal associations and various clubs. Lowell was an avid reader, a history buff, had a love of nature and all activities outdoors especially skiing and boating. He and Betsy were passionate about traveling and exploring and enjoyed spending their summers in Door County and winters in the Florida Keys. Lowell lived life to the fullest and loved to have fun.
Lowell had many friends and colleagues throughout his life and always looked forward to connecting over breakfast. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
