Née Jorgensen
Louise was born on February 15, 1934, to the late Earl and Lucille (Reidenbach) Jorgensen. Her childhood was filled with family. While born in Greenfield, she was raised primarily in Milwaukee. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and Girls Tech High School.
She was the devoted wife of the late Medard (Bud) Fons and the late John (Jackie Charles) Gronowski. She was adored by both. Also preceded in death by her loving nephew, Brian Barwick, plus many other family members. Louise’s relatives were numerous on both her mother’s and father’s sides. She is predeceased by her long-time friends, Irene Klatt and Pat Kickbush. So many memories are lost to us here as they are with those who have also gone on to their eternal home.
Yet, Louise’s memory here on earth carries on in each of us, in her daughters, Diane (Jim) Jellison and Rhonda Tobiasz, her grandchildren Jason, Brandon (Sarah), Jared, and Noell Jellison, her great-grandson, Basil Jellison, her sister Carol (Ron) Barwick, her niece, Cheryl (Peter) Mudek, Gail Benke, and many other relatives, including “her other daughter,” Sally Brogden. Friends still holding her memory dear include Dorothy Lohrke, Judy Piorkowski, Joan Spiel, Betty Timm, Dawn Timm, & the Jeff & Nicki Zimmer family. Plus, so many more. Louise was blessed by the great friends she had.
She was also a loving pet grandma. There have been many animals happy to have received her love over the years. Among them are Murphy, Mason, Horatio, Wickett, Pidsley, Dipper, Ester, & Muffins.
The family extends thanks to the staffs of Tamarack Adult Day Care, Frontida/New Day Assisted Living, and Vitas Hospice, also Dr. Muñoz, and Chaplain Russell Hurst. We additionally express profound love for Mother’s Earthly Angels: Sally Brogden, Monica Wambach-May, Marie Noll, Angie Derringer, Shari Huppert, Leah Jajtner, Mary Holden, Irma Schmor, Gail Skebba, Christine Hammond, and the Zimmer Family.
A strong woman, she lived here on Earth to be 92 years minus 10 days.
Louise’s Celebration of Life, Christian Services, entombment, and luncheon will all be held on Friday, February 20th, 2026. Visitation to be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM, same location.
Following the Celebration of Life, guests are invited to proceed to Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. For the sake of driving safety, there will be no formal funeral procession. We will leave Krause and go straight to Wisconsin Memorial Park, where guests may gather just outside the main building. We will form a walking procession and go to the Chapel of the Chimes inside.
Christian funeral services for Louise will begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel, Chaplain Russell Hurst presiding. Immediately following the service, we will go downstairs to her crypt for final prayers and entombment.
Immediately following that, we will meet in the Great Lodge, also known as the President’s Room, on the first floor in front of the Chapel of the Chimes for the luncheon.

Louise had a very playful side, some of which she retained even as she fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She would want us to recognize the struggles she faced, but also to focus on the joy that can be found here on earth with each other, and to know that she had a strong faith through it all.
Look up to Heaven. Know she’s at peace, and that we are all surrounded by her memories, her continuing love, and the omnipresence and eternal love of God.
