Lorin H Lewis, Sr., entered eternal life peacefully on April 4, 2025, surrounded by family.
Lorin, 76 years old, was born to Herbert and Mavis Lewis on April 13, 1948 in Evanston, IL. The family moved to Stevens Point, WI, followed by Winona, MN and in 1958 settled in Rochester, MN. At age 20, Lorin moved to Milwaukee, WI and made it his home.
Lorin is survived and missed by his loving wife, Patricia of 28 years. He is further survived by his sister, Beth Atherton of Colorado. Lorin’s legacy and influence extends through his children: Lorin Lewis, Jr “Jay” (Terri), Michael (Gina), Mechele (Maryann), Donald, Patrice and Queen. Grandchildren: Liam, Lillian, Alexandra, Donald, Donyea, Ariyanna, Jaden, Katiah, Demetrius, Destinee, Kejuan, Queniyah, Quinasia, Queen and three great grandchildren: Kaiahni, Mi’Amor and Kole.
Lorin had a successful career with WR Grace for 34 years, retiring as Plant Manager in 2012. He and Patti shared a passion for traveling to tropical destinations, creating lasting memories together. Wherever life took them — from Milwaukee to Las Vegas and back again — they remained faithful kingdom builders, actively serving in their community and church (Evangel Assembly of God in Milwaukee).
Lorin loved cooking, especially when cooking for the whole family. In recent years, he found great joy in creating a personal vegetable garden, often incorporating homegrown ingredients when cooking. He was a huge movie buff and had a great appreciation for live music, plays and good food. A true sports enthusiast, he wholeheartedly supported his Chicago Cubs and Bears — even amidst the many Brewers and Packers fans in the family! He did love the Brewers too, and rarely missed a game.
Lorin was a loyal and enthusiastic presence in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives—cheering them on at school events, sports games & performances. He inspired drive and determination in their businesses, music and career successes.
Lorin had an unwavering faith in God. He shared his Christian and family values leaving a legacy that lives on.
Visitation from 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM, with service at 1:00 PM, on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
