Watch TributeLisa Marie du Vergey, 60, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024, after a blessed and cherished life. Lisa was born on September 12, 1963, to Robert and Kathryn du Vergey in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After Lisa graduated from Fairview South in Brookfield, she went on to participate in programs through Milwaukee Center for Independence, Special Olympics, and Easter Seals.
Lisa had a love for Diet Coke, drawing, collecting books, collecting various pens, pencils, and markers, bowling, dancing to Michael Jackson, and watching WWF, especially Hulk Hogan!
Lisa lived life to the fullest and always enjoyed participating in activities and outings. Some of her favorite places to go included the annual State Fair and Fourth of July celebration. Lisa never passed on an opportunity to go shopping at Target, Walmart, and Goodwill, or to go out to eat with her family. A few of her favorite movies were Grease, Annie, Blues Brothers, Mr. Nanny, and Mrs. Doubtfire. She also loved Cookie Monster, Mickey Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh.
Lisa brought so much light and laughter to everyone’s life she was a part of. Lisa taught her family and loved ones an immense amount of patience and understanding, as well as the importance of unconditional love which she always showed in her actions. Lisa’s pure, genuine spirit will be truly missed and never forgotten. Lisa’s brother Matt would like to remind us of another important lesson she taught us: “Judge not, so that you be not judged.” – Matthew 7:1.
Lisa was predeceased by Robert Edward du Vergey, Jr., her father and Paul Michael du Vergey, her brother. Lisa is survived by Kathryn Anne du Vergey, her mother, and siblings Robert Edward du Vergey III, Mark Donald du Vergey, Matthew Lee du Vergey, Kathryn Anne du Vergey, David John du Vergey, and Laura Lee du Vergey.
A Memorial Service will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Gathering will begin at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Easter Seals of Wisconsin, an organization that took Lisa under their wings and was the highlight of Lisa’s day for many years.
