Linda Susan Carter (née Smrstick), age 54, passed away on November 21, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born on March 27, 1971, also in Milwaukee, she remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life.
Linda was a devoted wife to William Carter and a loving mother to their children, Billy and Cynthia. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Dalano, Gray, and Isaac, and found immense joy in spending time with them. Her family circle also included her brother Dan and his wife Kim, as well as her nephew Quinn and niece Cassie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Beverly Smrstick.
Linda had a warm heart and a generous spirit. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—especially doting on her grandchildren and fussing over her beloved pug, Frankie, and enjoying a good book. Her playful side shone through during spirited games of Wii Mario Kart.
Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Linda’s caring nature and selfless attitude left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
May her memory bring peace and comfort to all who loved her.
