Linda Jean (Stewart) Iding was born July 06, 1949, and passed away on April 08, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Louise Hardey and Clyde Stewart, brothers: Sam Stewart, Leonard Dale Stewart, Clyde Eugene Stewart, and Alton Wayne Hardey. She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years Lawrence Iding, sisters Frances Tracy and Barbara LaGrange, and children Kenneth Iding/Jenny Talbert, Anthony Iding/Michelle Iding and Cherie Iding. Grandchildren Makena Duggan, Cy Iding, Reese Iding, Vincent Sorensen, Radek Talbert, Jennifer Simmons, Jeffrey Payne, along with seven great-grandchildren and friends.
Linda grew up in DeQuincy, LA, and went to high school in New Orleans, where she met Larry through her brother Dale, home on leave from the military. Linda eventually married Larry and moved to Wisconsin where she raised her children and lived for the remainder of her life. Linda’s career was truly a home maker who took her role seriously instilling in her children unconditional love, selfless sacrifice, and integrity only she can give. She was forever thinking of everyone else except herself.
Gardening was not just a hobby; it’s where she put her heart and soul. She enjoyed the beauty of the flowers, birds, butterflies, and dragon flies. She looked forward to seeing the orioles, butterflies and hummingbirds as they came back each season.
She reveled in her travels all over of the United States, the Caribbean, and even England and Scotland.
Books and YouTube stories were her daily escape as well as browsing down the aisles of her favorite stores. Linda took great delight in walking outdoors feeling the rain or sunshine while breathing the fresh air; often with her dog(s).
Although humble and insecure, she was the best mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and grandmother one had the pleasure of having/knowing. She had always wanted us to remember how much she loved us. A quote she said in 2005, “I’ll never die, I will live with you forever inside your heart.”
Be comforted Linda is walking again pain and numb free in Heaven forever looking down on us.
Gathering will take place at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Visitation is from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM. Celebration service at 5:30 PM, with dinner following at 6:00 PM.
