Leona “Lee” Gensler, Waukesha, went home to her loving Father on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the age of 96.
She was born on October 23, 1925 in Harrison Township, Waupaca County to Ben and Anna (Konkol) Jablonski. Leona grew up on a family farm surrounded by nine brothers and sisters. Her family moved to Stevens Point in 1935. After high school she moved to Milwaukee and worked at Cutler-Hammer, married and raised her family. When her youngest daughter Jill was school age, Lee started her career with American Bowling Congress until her retirement in 1990. Leona loved to bake and cook, sharing many recipe “secrets” with her family. She also enjoyed reading and working jigsaw puzzles.
Beloved mother of Sandra (David) Wick, Eric Gensler, Patrick (Janice), Peter (Jane), Tim (Mary), Christopher (Cheryl), Jim (Marsha), and Jill Gardner. Reunited with eldest son, Michael (Joanne) and granddaughter, Pamela. Devoted to her 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Leona is survived by siblings Lydia Maher, Bertha Lewis and Bruno Jablonski.
She was preceded in death by siblings Delphine, Cornelia, Gazelle, Robert, Clem and Ralph.
Visitation to be held on Saturday, April 23rd from 12:00 PM – 1:45 PM with service to follow at 2:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
