Lawrence Arnold Liebe, 86, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, formerly of New Berlin, Wisconsin passed away March 6, 2024, at home in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Larry was born February 11, 1938, in Rosholt, Wisconsin and married the love of his life, Clare Ann (Nee Blexrud), on June 20, 1964. He was a fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Larry was a long-time business owner and co-founder of Office Essentials in New Berlin, Wisconsin. He enjoyed volunteering at his church communities: Holy Apostles Church, Banner Church (formerly Weatherstone Church), and Bethel Baptist Church. Larry also served at Milwaukee Outreach, helping men get back on their feet after a crisis. He enjoyed time at the lake home, fishing, golfing, softball, and opening the mail, and had a whimsical sense of humor. He was generous, loving to help people in need. Larry was blessed with many close friends. He loved his family and especially his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Clare Liebe; daughters, Susan (Richard) Thiemke of AZ, Jennifer (Paul) Servais of WI, son, Michael (Heather) Liebe of WI; and daughter Kara Linton of WI; sister, Leona Gabor of WI; brother-in-law John (Susan) Blexrud of FL; grandchildren, Brittany (Jennifer) Keesson, Kyle (Allisa) Thiemke, Bailey (Josh) Brinkman, Somer (Travis) Evans, Ethan Liebe, Elliot Liebe, Olivia Liebe, Treasure Linton and Jewel Linton; five great-grandchildren: Palmer and Monroe Brinkman, Ragen and Levi Evans, Margot Keesson and many dear relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Florian P. Liebe, his mother, Delphine M. Liebe (Nee Glischinski), father-in-law, Henry S. Blexrud, mother-in-law, Bernadine C. Blexrud (Nee Koel) and infant brother William Liebe, his sister, Dolores Czerwinski, and brothers-in-law Ralph Czerwinski and Myron Gabor.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Rev. Rick Thiemke will be officiating, and a lunch reception will follow. A private interment will occur at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
