Kevin A. Smits

Kevin Alan Smits, born on December 31, 1968, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

He grew up in Wisconsin and was a graduate of both Pius XI High School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Kevin is survived by his father, Robert Smits Sr, his two brothers, Jeffrey (Heidi) Smits and Robert (Janna) Smits Jr, his uncles James Smits and John (Joanna) Smits, his aunt Marlene (Terry) Guerts, and nieces and nephews, Elliot, Alexia, Simon, Lydia, and Ty.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Smits.

Kevin was an avid news and current events enthusiast, had a tremendous memory, and to most of us was considered a ‘human map.’ Over his lifetime, he had many jobs that kept him busy.

Private services will be held at Krause Funeral Home.
