Kenneth Lee Wiroll
May 9, 1933 – August 15, 2023
If you ever needed a forthright and honest opinion, a warm meal or someone to sit and chat about the little odd and wonderful moments that add up to 90 years of a life well-lived, Ken would open his door with a smile, a “how ya doing kid?” and his beloved dog, Teddy, yapping at his heels.
A proud Purple Heart recipient, Ken served as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. There, while training in Japan, he met and married his cherished wife, Kikuno “Kim” (nee Harada). Together they built a humble yet loving home in Milwaukee with their two sons, Allen (Jayne) and Robert (Angelia).
Ken was a true Wisconsinite through and through; he loved Harley Davidsons, fishing, the Green Bay Packers, a homecooked meal (especially if it included seafood), his neighbors and, above all, his family and dog. He worked as a machinist for most of his life.
Ken’s stubbornness, ridiculous voicemails, caring heart, unwavering support, and shrimp salad will be sincerely missed by his sons, his eight grandchildren Anna (Jason), Stacy (Brett), Sara (Jason), Holly (Demetrius), Stephen, Ian (Amanda), Sam, and Sydney (Ethan) and his great-grandchildren Adrianna, Asia, Molly, Max, Ava, Brooklynn, Mia, Julius, Londynn, Benjamin, and Hazel.
His family and friends are comforted knowing that Ken has joined his wife in eternal rest.
Never one for anything showy, Ken has requested a private military burial. His family truly appreciates the outpouring of support and memories they have received and have found consolation in hearing how Ken has impacted the lives of others.
If you would like to extend condolences, we know our dad, grandpa, and great grandpa would be proud to have support donated in his memory to The Wounded Warrior Project.
