Kenneth Jay Stoller of Merton, Wisconsin, age 62 died peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee on May 20, 2026 with his family by his side and with the compassionate care of the CVICU staff. Ken was raised in Port Washington, Wisconsin by the late Eli, Jr and the late Joyce (Ritger) Stoller.
Ken is survived by his strong and supportive wife of 37 years, Jeanette (Iding) and two intelligent and active sons, Matthew and Brandon Stoller. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Barbara Iding, sisters-in-law, Laura (Craig) Witzel and Susan (Scott Heath) Iding, brother Michael Stoller, nephew Spencer Stoller and niece Rebecca Stoller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Michael Iding.
Ken, who many identified as a “good man”, will be missed by friends and family, including Peg Houghton and David Brannan; Shannon and Wendy Grant and his “god family” Paul and Jen Wilczewski and their children Katie, Sarah, Tim, and Dan.
As a loving father Ken was always present, regularly making sacrifices to ensure his kids would be able to live their best possible life. More than that, he always showed great interest and learned about everything small and large, including Scouts, hockey, and video gaming. He wanted to be able to spend time with his children, always asking about their friends and putting them first.
Ken was looking forward to retirement with Jeanette filled with enjoyment of the outdoors, travel, as a spectator of all Wisconsin sports, games of sheepshead, and time spent on projects in his woodshop and around the house.
He had a 43-year career as a skilled machinist/programmer, the last 25 years at Drillmaster Tool in Slinger, Wisconsin (now known as PDQ Workholding). He took incredible pride in his quality of work and the various parts, products, machines, and customers he dealt with. He frequently told stories of items he worked with, ranging from tiny medical devices to huge aerospace parts, during his time he and Jeanette lived in Middletown, Ohio and continuing after they moved back to Wisconsin.
Ken had several uncommon health issues in his adult life, most recently receiving the incredibly selfless gift of a heart this past summer. He was recovering well showing incredible resilience until complications as a result of the transplant were too much to overcome.
His family expresses their deepest gratitude and appreciation for the medical teams who attended to Ken during the last year of his life. He received “rock star” care from the Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit at St. Luke’s—every nurse, CNA, respiratory therapist, perfusionist, and doctor; as well as the Tendick Center for Advanced Heart Failure Therapies, Aurora Summit Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Aurora Germantown Cancer Clinic. Very special thanks are extended to Sarah Gelhaar NP, Carrie Peets RN, Dr. Brian Buggy, Dr. Jacob Luthman, Dr. Christofer Barth, Dr. Charles Ojielo, and Dr. Andrew Lin for their compassionate care and pursuing every avenue to recovery.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM with reception to follow.
