Kelly Jacinta Story was born on March 17, 1978, to Ferdinand and Neoma Story in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the youngest child in a close, tight-knit family of thirteen children. Kelly was educated within Milwaukee public and private schools. She furthered her education and earned an associate’s degree in business at Cardinal Stritch University in Fox Point, WI.
Kelly, a woman of strong faith, was baptized early and became a member of Zebaoth Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI.
With a career spanning over two decades at Milwaukee Centers for Independence (MCFI), Kelly worked in human resources and later precisely managed payroll. She was dedicated and hardworking, leaving an indelible mark on her colleagues and community.
Kelly’s kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit inspired all who knew her. She will be remembered for her generous heart, infectious laughter, and deep love for her family and friends. She found joy in the simple things – cooking and meticulously preparing meals for her family, especially for her nieces and nephews. Her hobbies included hanging out with her sisters, loving old-school music, shopping, and visiting Potawatomi Bingo.
Kelly was a loyal sister, a devoted mother to her daughters, Tiffany and Alexis, and a dependable and trusted best friend to Nikki Spillers and Suzanne Kyte. Her two grandchildren, Alahni and Amiri, were the absolute joys of her life.
Kelly Jacinta Story, age 46, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Neoma Story.
She leaves to cherish her memory: life partner, Robert Stacy; two daughters, Tiffany Story and Alexis Story; grandchildren, Alahni and Amiri Story-Jones; four brothers, Eugene (Mona), Jerry (Bing), Robert (Sarah), and Julius Story; eight sisters, Helen, Virginia, Patricia (Randy), Jo Ann (John), Brenda (Ron), Ammie, Janice (Ulice), and Kayla (Deron); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends and colleagues who cherished her presence and loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, from 10:00 AM until the time of Service at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
