It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Julie L. Tadlock, beloved mother, grandmother “Gigi,” daughter, sister, and friend to many, who found her peace on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Julie is survived by her daughter, Kaitlin (Aaron) Pokorny, and grandson, Pierson; her son, Garrett Tadlock, a senior at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater; her sister, Heather (Brad) Erickson, and their children, Morgan, Allison, and Olivia, of Verona, WI; and her parents, Howie and Judy Ochs, of Portage, WI.
Julie was born on December 25, 1970, in Portage, Wisconsin. She was the eldest daughter of Judy and Howie Ochs and the big sister to Heather Erickson (Ochs). Julie attended school in the Portage School District. While there, she was a member of the National Honor Society and part of the 1987 girls’ Class A volleyball championship team under Coach Joann Armson. She graduated from Portage High School and later went on to graduate from Marquette University with a degree in Accounting.
After graduation, Julie moved across the country to Houston, Texas, for a job, where she met her future husband, Collin, and the father of her children, Kaitlin and Garrett. After spending almost 10 years in Texas, Julie and Collin moved back to Wisconsin with their children and eventually divorced but remained friends.
Julie was a devoted mother who would do anything for her children, Kaitlin (26) and Garrett (22). She enjoyed many years of cheering them on at their sporting events, traveling with them, playing games, and watching movies as a family, and most importantly, sharing regular, laughter-filled, home-cooked meals.
On February 25, 2025, Pierson James Pokorny, Julie’s first grandchild and the light of her life, was born.
Julie was a hardworking, independent, and passionate person in everything she did and loved her family and friends immensely. Julie, or “Jules” as most called her, had many lifelong friends with whom she remained close throughout her life, sharing many good times and memories.
At the time of her passing, she was employed at Spincraft Manufacturing in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
Gathering will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Friday, April 17, 2026, 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM. Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
