Judith “Judy” Kaye Ronzani (née Pelikan)
Judith “Judy” Kaye Ronzani passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Fox Point, Wisconsin, at the age of 75. Born on May 9, 1950, in Edgar, Wisconsin, to Selma (née Lehman) and Elroy Pelikan, Judy lived a life shaped by faith, a love of learning, and a generous spirit that touched everyone around her.
Judy was a devoted Christian whose faith was central to everything she did. She was an active and cherished member of her church community, and the bonds she formed there were among the most important of her life. She is now at rest, reunited with her beloved husband, Rick, whom she missed deeply in the years since his passing.
For decades, Judy was committed to early childhood education, leading a Christian preschool as its Founder and Executive Director. Through her Lovable Letter Puppets and her natural gift for making learning joyful, she helped countless children take their first steps toward reading. Her dedication touched generations of families.
Outside of her work, Judy was most at home in her garden, tending to her flowers and creating peaceful spots for birds and butterflies. She had a tender heart for animals and cherished her beloved cats, including Boots and Scoots. In her later years, nothing brought her more happiness than time with her grandchildren, Nicholas and Juliette–teaching them art, reading to them, and loving them wholeheartedly.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard Ronzani. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea; grandchildren, Nicholas and Juliette; siblings, Sandy (Ardell) Wiederhoeft, Darrell (Beverly) Pelikan, Cherie (Jim) Martin, and Debbie (Roland) Jobke; other relatives; and many cherished friends.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the devoted caregivers at Azura Memory Care in Fox Point, whose compassion and dedication ensured that Judy’s last two years were filled with love and dignity. They were truly angels on earth to her, and their loving care was a blessing beyond measure.
A memorial gathering will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Audubon Society or local animal shelter are a meaningful way to honor Judy’s memory.
