Joyce Elaine Rumpf

Always kind, cheerful, positive and always “busy”, Joyce passed away peacefully Saturday, March 1, surrounded by her loving family at age 93. Wife of the late Arthur Rumpf for 66 years. Devoted Mother of Arthur (Ann), John (Audra) and the late Bill (Sue) Rumpf. Proud grandmother of Angela, Patrice, Art, Kasen, Grace and Cole and great grandmother of Danica, Melvin, Rollins, Kyro and Crosby. Preceded in death by her brother Kay, parents Kay and Irene, son Bill and husband Arthur. In addition to being the best Mom and wife anyone could hope for, Joyce was a highly regarded potter, arts educator and professional model. She was a proud graduate of UWM. Her many passions included golf, swimming, biking, fishing, travel, entertaining, the arts and cheering on her favorite Wisconsin sports teams. She even had the honor of throwing out the first pitch for her beloved Brewers.

A special thank you to the staff and residents of Azura of Brookfield, and to Aveanna, Horizon, and St. Croix hospice and health services for the loving care, compassion and companionship you provided as important members of “Team Joyce.”

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of your choice are greatly appreciated.

A celebration of Joyce’s rich life will be held at Brookfield Congregational Church, 16350 Gebhardt Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM, followed by  memorial service at 11:30 AM. Reception to follow.
