Joyce Elaine Esch

Passed away on February 17, 2017, at the age of 93. Loving wife of the late Robert W. Esch, of 60 years. Dear mother of Barbara Koehler, James Esch, and Janet Esch. Grandmother of David (Nicole) Koehler, Amanda (Jeffrey) Frey, Monica Esch, and Peter Esch. Great-grandmother of Alyssa, Olivia, Zachary Koehler, and Josephine Frey. Sister of Dorothy Meyer. Sister-in-law of Betty Ruttinger.

Private services will be held. A special thank you to the staff at the Lutheran Home – 3 East and Vitas Hospice Care for their loving care.

Joyce was a fighter for what is right. She fought for civil rights in the 60s. Later she volunteered at Sojourner Family Peace Center. She taught us appreciation for music, nature, and literature.
