Joseph Griese Passed away unexpectedly, but surrounded by family, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, age 70. Survived by his wife Sue (nee Herman) Griese of 42 years. Dear Sue and family,
I’m profoundly send by the loss of Joe… He was such a great guy. I got to know him in the Real Estate program in Madison, and he was one of the people working for the Chief, Dr. Graaskamp.
Then, we got to see more of each other when he was living in Chicago and working for Citicorp. I was living in Chicago at the same time. Since Gwynn and I moved to the Washington DC area, and you guys to Milwaukee, I would enjoy seeing him at the Wisconsin real estate reunions every couple of years. We will really miss Joe and I wish you all the best.

Dear Sue and Joe's Family,
I am so sad. I can't catch my breath. Joe was an amazing Conservancy Board member. He was an excellent Board Treasurer and in his tenure, we became good friends. Trading stories, solutions and knowledge about everything healing. I was happy to connect with him just days before his passing. A part of me is completely empty.
Know he made a huge difference to so many people. I send lots of blessings, love and Mother Mary's comfort to all. I'm share one of my favorite pictures from our 2024 Conservancy Gala.

Joe was a big man who lead a big, colorful life. He was a close friend since our college days, and we had a lot of laughs together. If I wanted to get into an in depth discussion on the news/politics of the day, I'd always call Joe. We could hash out anything!
