Johnnie Everage Jr.

With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the memory of Johnnie Everage Jr., who peacefully transitioned on August 21, 2026.

John was a man of strength, and unwavering kindness. Known for his gentle spirit, patience, and a warm smile that made everyone feel welcome.

Johnnie was born on April 2, 1951 in Vardaman, Calhoun County, Mississippi to the late Johnnie Everage and Pauline McKee Everage. He learned early the value of hard work and devotion to family. These values shaped the man he became and the legacy he leaves behind.

He graduated from North Calhoun High School in Bruce, Mississippi. He attended Northwest Community College and was a member of the Northwest Rangers Football team in Senatobia, MS.  He served in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge.

He was united in holy matrimony to Michelle McCormack, July 25, 1998.  Above all, he cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father to Jacklyn and devoted brother to Barbara.

John will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle heart, and the love gave so freely. His presence was a blessing, and his memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 28 years, Michelle McCormack Everage; a daughter Jacklyn Everage; both of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters, Barbara (Lemark) Brown, Pittsboro, MS; Army Carol Woodard, Milwaukee, WI; brother, Delane (Vivian) Woodard, Milwaukee, WI; special niece, Riguita Clark; special nephews, Ricky Clark; William Henry (Rocky) Moore; special cousins, Mary Woods; Bunny Booker; Patsy McKee Hubbard; Francis McKee; special friends, Jimmy Westmoreland; Jesse Rucker; Alex Armstrong; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pauline McKee Everage Woodard and Johnnie Everage; step-father Frederic D Woodard; First wife Cynthia Ann Everage; sister Marylene Carter; brothers James L. Carter, Cassell Logan; nephew George L. Moore.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee from 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM. Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, on Friday, September 4, 2026.
