John Richard Mattson

Passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 at age 69. Father of Eric and Michael Mattson. Brother of Sandra (Dick) Wals and Steve (Sharon) Mattson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and canine companion Tank. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Betty Mattson.

John was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and belonged to  Ozaukee County Fish and Game. He was proud to carry on his father’s woodworking skills creating beautiful cutting boards for family and friends. John was a man of faith, who had a dry and sarcastic sense of humor. Friends and family often spoke of his kindness and how he will be truly missed.

Visitation at Advent Lutheran Church, W63N642 Washington Ave, Cedarburg, WI 53012, on Friday, January 12 from 9:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM.
