John “Jack” Dirk

Passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on December 5, 2020. Age 92. Loving husband of Irene (nee Hurley) for over 52 years. Preceded in death by son Robert Dirk. Proud father of Duane (Dee Dee) Dirk and Ed (Carrie) Dirk. Grandpa of DJ (Lindsay) Dirk, John (Adrian) Dirk, Jennifer (Robert) Ford, Travis (Shelby) Dirk, Heather (Dave) Ammirata, and Laura Dirk. Great-grandpa of Brett, Gracelynn, Trey, Zoey, and Hunter. He will also be missed by other family and friends.

John was a proud veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a Milwaukee Police Officer for over 32 years and was a member of the police legion post #415. In his spare time, John was an avid fisherman and hunter. He especially loved sharing those passions with his family.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
