In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary, an organization Jenny worked with which is dedicated to rehabilitation of horses, or Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.
Jennifer Lee Maas (nee Doss), 67, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 23rd, 2026 while surrounded by family. Born on June 21st, 1958, Jenny’s life was dedicated to nurturing her children and grandchildren, and was a testament to the power of love and Christian character. Her courage in overcoming the medical challenges in her life was graceful and inspiring.
Jenny was a woman of deep faith, with many talents and passions. Inspired by her dear sister, Connie, Jenny became an accomplished horsewoman who cared for and rehabilitated rescued horses with amazing results. Jenny served multiple missions in Africa, with special mention of work she initiated in Bumpe, Sierra Leone to create an orphanage and distribute school supplies. She loved to cook and treat her family to marvelous food, and was always excited to serve a big breakfast to the family at their cottage in Northern Wisconsin.
Mostly though, Jenny was a fountain of love and warmth for her family and friends. She cared deeply for her extended family and all those she befriended. Everyone she encountered in a day was greeted with a smile and genuine friendliness and respect, and her wit kept us all laughing every day.
Jenny is survived by her loving husband, Eric, and their four children, Alan Maas (Tiffany), Laura (Michael) Davis, Emily (Jonathan) Brokens, Stephanie (Justin) Lim. She will be deeply missed by her four grandsons, Bryce Davis, Chase Davis, Lucas Brokens, and Joseph Brokens. She is further survived by her sisters Gail (the late Bert) Badtke, Linda (Paul) Mohrmann, and Connie (Jim) Gangnon, as well as many beloved in-laws, nephews, nieces, and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Josephine Doss.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Jenny’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place before service from 2:00 PM – 4:45 PM.
