I met Jean and Dick when my wife, Denise, and I built a home, and moved into Rustic Retreat, a small 10 home development on Lake Shishebogama in Minocqua, WI. We quickly became friends with Jean and Dick. I looked at Jean as the Queen of our small, close-knit community. She always had a smile on her face and could quickly put one on yours with her warm wit. Jean was an active person in our community. Jean was a caretaker whose main duty was to look after her husband Dick, the man she loved. In the summertime when our garden was producing an abundance of green beans, cucumbers and tomato’s we would always share them with Jean and Dick. She was always grateful. Jean will be missed by all of us who got to know her at Rustic Retreat, long live the Queen!!
