Kaminski, Janet M. (nee Hansen)

Born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at age 80.

Proceeded in death by her husband Tom, and parents Clarence and Amelia Hansen.

Cherished Mom of Beth (Mike) Dunn and Tim Kaminski. Loving Grandmother of Alex and Nikki Dunn. Beloved sister of Paul (Sue) Hansen. Also, loved by many friends, other relatives, former co-workers and good dogs, Bella, Mortichi, Baron and Mac.

Janet was employed for many years as a valued bookkeeper at Winding Roofing in Wauwatosa. After her retirement, she built her wealth by playing penny slots, which she quickly spent by traveling across the US with her family and friends. Along the way, she stopped at as many Cracker Barrel locations as possible. Janet was a big fan of watching her Grandchildren play youth sports, attending parades and finding any reason to have fun. She loved flowers, baking, cooking, cows, dogs and riding the scooters at Walmart.

The Good Lord gained an Angel.

While it is hard to say goodbye, Janet is at peace.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM. Funeral Service 6:00 PM.

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have known Jan for over 30 years. She was a joy to be around and always had an incredibly positive aura about her. I can’t say that I have met a kinder person. If you knew her, you know. Every time I hear Otis Redding and his song, “Cigarettes and Coffee”, I will eternally remember and cherish our random conversations about life together! Godspeed.
