Jane Helen (Klug) Soper, 101, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin died on Friday morning, March 14, 2025.
She was born on April 24, 1923 in Watertown, Wisconsin, the daughter of Margaret (Neitzel) and Reinart Klug. Jane graduated from Jefferson High School with the class of 1941, having served as the editor of the school newspaper and an active member of the GAA. On June 10, 1948, she married Robert A. Soper. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1995. Jane was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Wauwatosa and a founding member of the Congregational Home in Brookfield.
Jane was an avid reader, golfer, loved to solve crossword puzzles, and play Uker. She golfed until well into her 80’s with her special foursome of dear friends.
Survivors include her three children, Judith Soper Mindin (Lionel) of Glendale, WI , Janet Soper Rosenthal (Murray) of Fox Island, WA, and Jeanne Soper Milbrand (Lance) of Belfair, WA; four grandchildren, Amanda Mindin, Leanne Mindin, Jonathan Rosenthal, and Samantha Rosenthal; one great-grandchild, Sybil Gluck Rosenthal; nieces, nephews, other relatives and wonderful friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Sunday, April 6, 2025. The family greeting will begin at 1:30 PM with the Celebration to begin at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow immediately after the celebration.
