Passed away peacefully at Angel’s Grace Hospice on August 8, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Franz S. J. Hirzy. Loving sister of the late JoAnn Gerstmann. Sister-in -law of Edward Gerstmann. Dearest Aunt of Jane (Steve) Zelenski and James Gerstmann. Wonderful Great Aunt to Beth Zelenski (FI Aaron Sirovina), Tom (Kelly) Zelenski and Marcus (Jessica) Zelenski. Jane also had eight great-great nieces and nephews. Jane is further survived by two wonderful life long friends Diane and George Edward. As well as, Jane’s dearest friend Jacky Shweinzger.

Born February 9, 1944 to the late Adam and Alma (Zittel) in Sheboygan Wisconsin. Her family later moved to Milwaukee. Jane attended UWM, UW Madison and completed her Bachelor’s degree at Northwestern in Chicago, Illinois.

Jane and Franz enjoyed a wonderful life together. They lived in Maryland after they married. Then moved to Germany for 4 years. And enjoyed the European lifestyle and experiences while traveling to several countries. Following the years in Germany they resided in Wisconsin and Illinois. Then retired in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Jane and Franz had a great love for animals. Especially their Golden Retrievers Chuck and Bob. As well as their greyhound rescue Stuart.

Per Jane’s wishes there will be no funeral services held.
