James William Lau – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 16, 2023, at age 79.

He was born in West Allis, WI to Bill and Arlene Lau. Loving husband of Bobbie for nearly 55 years. The most remarkable Dad to Lisa (Greg) Rudy, Jodi (Chris) Haages, and David (Chandra) Lau. Super proud Papa of Mackenzie and Josh Rudy, Carson and Callie Haages, and Addie and Weston Lau. Brother of Lynette Kapsos. Jim will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other family and friends, and of course his favorite hunting dog, Norman.

Proud owner of American Mfg. Co., Jim was a self-proclaimed workaholic, an avid hunter, great at story problems, enjoyed the outdoors and golfing, played euchre and sheepshead, a Fox News junkie, taught all his grandkids how to swim, the proudest family man, and always had $2 bills in his wallet.

Visitation at Elmbrook Church, 777 South Barker Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Private family service following.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of James Lau during this time of grief. Jim and his good friend Jim Z hunted on my place in South Dakota, on a yearly basis for over 25 years. We became friends over the years and i respected his passion and his love of the outdoors and the sport of a good pheasant hunt. He loved to watch his dogs work, when they hunted on my place. He enjoyed the dogs working for the birds more than the actual hunt. I will miss Jim a lot, I always had a lot of respect for hunters like Jim.
