Born to Eternal Life on August 19, 2016, at the age of 84. Preceded in death by his parents, Catherine (nee Regan) and Henry H. Brenner and step-mother, Francis (nee Johnson) Brenner.
Jim was born in Milwaukee and spent many years in Oconomowoc, before returning to Milwaukee. Upon graduation from Marquette University with high honors, he joined the Army. After serving his country, he returned to Marquette to obtain his Masters Degree. He then began his long career as a high school teacher in Mukwonago; while there he became the History Department Head. Always interested in teachers’ rights, he represented them for many years in negotiating their union contracts. Upon retirement, he continued that interest as the Executive Director of Lakewood Uniserv Council. Jim’s summers provided him time to pursue his passions of history and trains, many times arranging to be on that last ride of a specific train line in the States and in Europe.
Jim is survived by many cousins and friends, especially later in life he was assisted by cousins, Margie Regan and Jean Patti, and friend, Tina Woodring.
