










Huey was born on September 11, 1935 in Carthage, Mississippi to Fred and Velma Hutchins. He departed this life on April 19, 2025.
He received his formal education in Mississippi and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a young adult. Huey worked construction for many years before retiring. He loved to fish, hunt and planted a garden for many years.
Huey was united in holy matrimony to his first wife Mazola Carson to which 3 daughters were born. Years later he married Evelyn Rose Baker.
Huey loved to laugh and joke and will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Velma Hutchins; his first wife Mazola Carson followed by his second wife Evelyn Rose Baker in addition to brothers and sisters Lula Fred, Crawley, Willis, Marvis, Tracy Lynn, Doug, Dave and Ruth. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Theresa Hutchins and grandchildren Sherazzma Hampton and Princeton Hutchins.
He leaves behind daughters Gwendolyn Lea and Pamela Hutchins-Pugh. In addition to grandchildren Melvin Lea III, Brandon Lea, Garrett Pugh, Darren Pugh, Lakisha Criss and Christopher Coleman; along with 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sisters Cherry Glo, Loereather, Jarvis, Sharon and brother Dale. There are also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to be remembered.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM. Funeral Service 12:00 PM.
