It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Holly (Jahntz) Brown, a woman whose life was defined by compassion, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to animals and the people who loved them.
Holly was welcomed in Heaven by her parents, Marna Jahntz, Jack Jahntz, siblings Lisa, Katie, and Michael Jahntz and cherished family members Maggie, Becky, and Penny Brown .
Holly shared many years with her former husband, Tom Brown (and family), who remained an important part of her life’s story. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever keep her memory: sister Mary Jahntz, along with Shelby (Kevin), Taylor (Caelan), Pippa, Darwin, Gayle, and Mable; her brother Chris Jahntz (Sue) along with nieces and nephews Christian (Laura and Greta), Dalton (Mariah), Hudson (Sammie), and Makita.
Holly dedicated her career to caring for animals and the families who loved them. Her coworkers at St. Paul Veterinary Clinic became an extended family, and countless pet owners will remember her kindness, gentle spirit, and willingness to help during both joyful and difficult moments. Through her work, she touched the lives of innumerable animals and the people who cared for them.
Those who knew Holly knew she had a special gift for bringing smiles to others. She loved animals, children, and, of course, chocolate. Her family will always remember her kind heart and the funny voice she would use when talking to animals. Whether comforting a frightened pet, sharing a story, or offering support to a worried family, Holly’s kindness came naturally and freely.

Established in honor of Holly and her beloved teacup Yorkshire Terrier, Ellie, who suffered a tragic injury after biting an electrical cord and was surrendered to a veterinary clinic, the Holly J. Brown Angel Fund will provide assistance to families facing financial hardship when they are unable to care for their beloved pets. To honor Holly’s memory, spend extra time loving your pet, and consider volunteering at your local animal shelter. Rest in peace, Holly. We will see your love reflected in every wagging tail and grateful paw you helped along the way. You were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
