Harold Walter Heinrich
January 20, 1934 – April 2, 2024
Harold Walter Heinrich passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the age of 90. He was the loving husband of Dorothy for 29 years and the cherished father of Scott, Blane, Todd (Lori), Gregg (Mary Ann), Michelle (Kelly) King and six stepchildren. Harold was the proud grandpa of 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vernell of 37 years and their son, Lewis.
Harold dedicated his life to service. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. Additionally, he volunteered with the Muskego Fire Department for 15 years, serving from 1972 to 1988. He also served God and His land and animals, as a dairy farmer his entire life. He raised a herd of 90 Holstein cows on his family farm in Muskego until 1992.
Harold enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He and his late wife, Vernell traveled the world with a group of close friends, spent many hours snowmobiling and danced the nights away throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Harold and his wife, Dorothy, snowbirded in Florida and enjoyed many hours riding his motorcycle.
Harold’s sense of humor, caring nature and warm smile will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 4:00 PM -8:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 West Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners, Wisconsin, on Thursday, April 11, 2024, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial and military honors to follow.
