Kenneth Walker left a message on October 13, 2016:
Tony, you, and your family may not remember me, but I grew up with you on 10th Street on the same block. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Mother. I remember her as being kind and such a great cook. She fed me at your table when I didn't have something to eat at my house. Yes it has been over 50 years since we last talked, but I remember your Mom...she was kind and generous at a time when the color of my skin did not matter to her. Again, my condolences, and I'll never forget the friendship we once had and your family. RIP kind woman.

The last time I saw your Mom was quite a few years ago (probably about 30). She came up to Mom's and bought a wooden high chair that had been used for my brother and I. She was excited about a new grand-baby I think for Tony (who I always think of as Nino, sorry) A small little memory, but is makes me smile to think it passed on to you. She was a sweet lady.

My brother, Ken, told me about your Mom's passing and I wanted to reach out with my condolences on the loss of both your Mom and your Dad. We have many happy memories of them and you, Toni, Bernie and Tony, from our good old days as neighbors and friends. When Ken and I reminisce about our younger days we frequently remember your family. My husband and I just celebrated our 40th anniversary and so I was recently thinking about your Dad's band playing for our wedding. In later years in the neighborhood your Parents were very kind in keeping and eye on our Mom, Betty, after our Dad passed away and helped her stay safe on her own. We are thinking of you fondly and with sincere sympathy as you go through these difficult days. I'm sure you have many happy memories to celebrate as you remember your parents.
