As Julie's friend, I had the honor of getting to know George during he and Ruth's visits to Austin. The first time I met him was probably over 25 year ago and I looked forward to every time after that. It was always a joy to catch up with George as he treated my like his kid - he'd grill me on what I'd been up to, get excited about my future plans, etc. I'm grateful for those memories. My thoughts are with you guys.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family! We're all standing right with you this week!! A number of us - Julie's Parsons' family - were fortunate enough to have gotten to know George along the way. He was a great guy and such a good dad. We've pooled and donated to the Crain Foundation in his name - it looks awesome and just the sort of place we would envision he'd love.

George was a wonderful loving Uncle. I have so many memories of him when I was young. Julie and I were very close when we were little and I spent many days at their house. One of my favorite things was my uncle would make us the best blueberry pancakes for breakfast and we would make them and goof around and the eat them and laugh and joke around. Sometimes he could be a real clown. He also exposed me to the interesting combo of peanut butter and banana. Sorry and Elvis but my Uncle is my hero!!!!!! My love to the family he truly will be missed

I lived across the street from george in South Milwaukee. We became good friends. I was one year ahead of him in high school. We did some Very fun things together.. I went into the Air Force, and so did George. in 1963, while in Tokyo Japan, I went to the USO, UNITED SERVICE ORGAZATION. Well it just happened that George had been at the USO one day ahead of me. Missed him there and miss him more today!
