Genevieve Ann Weavers, age 85, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side and surrounded with love by all her family, Monday, April 27, 2026.
Gen was born on November 10, 1940, in Oostburg, Wisconsin, to Harry & Mabel Weakamp, and was raised in Oostburg, her family’s hometown. She graduated from Oostburg High School in 1958, where she met and began dating Robert Weavers, who would become her devoted husband of 65 years.
For many years she worked for the JC Penny Company as an office manager until retiring. Gen enjoyed being with family and friends. She was happiest when her whole family would gather together during reunions and holidays. She always said it made her so happy to see her family getting along and laughing together.
Gen was deeply loved and will be missed by her husband, Robert Weavers; her daughters’, Cheralyn Lynott, Wendy Sobczak and her husband Dennis, Gail Balson and her husband Wade, Pamela Frontczak and her husband Robert.
She is survived by her grandchildren; Toni Kraft, Brian Weick (Amanda), Jamie Erickson (Josh), Michael Kernen (Jamie), Justin Kernen (Stephanie), Crystal Zak (DJ), Cassandra Balson, Kari Balson & Hunter Frontczak. Her great-grandchildren; Mikayla Fuchs (James), Alexis Pavlekovich, Lorelei Richter (Christian), Aidan Weick, Teagan Weick, Steven Kraft, Claire Erickson, Katelyn Erickson, Kearan Weick, Madeline Erickson, Paxtan Weick, Logan Kernen, Lukas Kernen, Gabby Kraft, Everly Kernen & Liam Kernen. Her great-great grandchild; Araya Fuchs.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Gen was preceded in death by her parents; Harry & Mable Weakamp; her sister Harriet Desmith (Aud).
Gen’s family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and support staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the Village of Waukesha Fire/EMS Department for their attentive treatment and care.
A celebration of Gen’s life will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 4895 South Calhoun Road, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a service and luncheon to follow.
