Eunice Chittero

(Nee Terch) Passed away peacefully at age 93 in her Wauwatosa home, on Christmas Eve surrounded by 3 generations of family. Born in Virginia MN, she arrived in Milwaukee in 1942 where she met her husband Frank, who preceded her in death after 57 years of marriage. Eunice raised 5 children, loved her home and all forms of working outside in her yard, and kept family ties strong among her kids. Through the years she often supported Frank’s accounting and law practices – the two worked many long nights during tax season. She served as treasurer for the Conntinental Youth Band, where she and Frank became good friends with other parents. Eunice loved to dance, bowled in her church league for decades, and always enjoyed Sheepshead with family and friends. Her gravy and pie crust could not be beat. Interested in social causes, she never shied away from a political debate!

She is survived by her children Barbara (Robert) Downes, Patricia (Daniel) Colvin, John, Michael and Chris (Rick Noel) Chittero; grandchildren Scott (Arodi) Colvin, Erica (Jay) Koch, Jeffrey (Wallene) Colvin, and Bradley (Danessa) Colvin; nine great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Marie Modl (nee Chittero), brother-in-law Ken Eppers, and caring nieces and nephews. The family is very grateful to our “sisters,” Janet Engel and Allswell Buor, her excellent caregivers who allowed Eunice to stay in her home for her final years. She was preceded in death in the Terch family by her 6 sisters, 5 brothers and their spouses, and in the Chittero family by 2 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 3970 North 92nd Street, Milwaukee, WI. Mass of Christian Burial to follow, 12:00 PM. Private entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
