Erwin “Erv” C. Glander passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2024, at the age of 75. Beloved father to Kimberly (Josh) Hansen and Melissa (Anthony) Dávila. Adoring grandpa to Dante, Emilio, Olivia, and Liana. Loving brother to Greg (Sandy) Glander and Lori (Steve) Slicker. Preceded in death by loving parents Erwin L. and Genevieve Glander and “twin” brother Larry (Helen) Glander. Further survived by Nieces and Nephews and their children.
Erv was very proud of his service in the Army during the era of the Vietnam war. He was fortunate that he did not have to go to war during his service like many of his friends did. Erv was an avid hunter who enjoyed being in the woods with his brothers, father, multiple close friends, and his hunting dogs over the years. He also enjoyed trap shooting and did so competitively for many years. Erv was known to be one of the best shots around. Erv worked for the post office as a Postal Carrier for over 30 years in New Berlin and Waukesha. He was well known for taking time to get to know his customers and make sure that they were happy with his service. Before he was a carrier he worked at a woodworking shop with his brother Larry. Erv loved going to car shows with his Nova. He also loved spending time with friends and family and always will be remembered for his joking, loving nature.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 3:30 PM until 5:45 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Service begins at 6:00 PM. Interment will be held at 12:00 PM on May 10, 2024 at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
