Passed away peacefully on September 20, 2016 at age 92. Loving husband of 65 years to Magdalena (nee Treu). Beloved father of Ernst-Ulrich (Eileen) Franzen, Barbara (the late Randolph) Keeler and Robert (Paulette) Franzen. Proud Opa of Lene, Ena, Amanda, Mary and Michael. I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God’s word the bible. In the face of such tragedy, many wonder why God allows such suffering. In the bible, Romans 5:12 says, "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Perhaps reflecting on these scriptures will give you what's needed to assure your family of God's love:Psalms 55:22; Psalms 94:19; Isaiah 25:8, Acts 24:15; Revelation 21:4.
