It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth St. George, aged 92, on August 16, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 20, 1934, to Guy and Dorothy Hawkins, Elizabeth’s life was a testament to faith, dedication, and the boundless love she shared with her family.
In 1952, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Robert Francis St. George. Together, started building the large family they both dreamed of. Though Elizabeth has now joined Robert and their beloved son, Jerard, in eternity, her legacy continues through her surviving children: Kristen (Dan) Forsberg, Guy (Sandra Lee) St. George, Mark (Karen) St. George, Kim St. George, and Jeffery St. George. Elizabeth was also the adored grandmother to Ryan, Justin, Matthew, Cody, Laura, Robert, Adam, Anthony, and Kate, and the proud great-grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a woman of many talents and unwavering dedication. She skillfully balanced the demands of motherhood with her passion for sewing, becoming a master quilter whose creations brought warmth and comfort to countless loved ones and those in need. She so wanted to have more people enjoy the art, she started ” Granny’s Quilting ” and began teaching both beginners and experienced quilters. Her quilts, blankets, and various hand-crafted items were symbols of her generosity.
Her strong will and unwavering faith were the guiding forces in her life. Elizabeth was known for her spirited nature and the gentle reminders of her cherished opinions. Her unwavering devotion to her family was matched only by her steadfast faith in God, a beacon of hope for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth also found joy in the melodies of piano music, often expressing how the harmonies transported her to places of peace and reflection. Her life was a symphony of love, resilience, and grace, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Elizabeth’s remarkable life on August 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM for viewing and Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 210 East Washington Street, Slinger, WIsconsin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice, continuing Elizabeth’s legacy of compassion and kindness.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who knew Elizabeth and supported her journey, ensuring that her earthly mission of creating, nurturing, and guiding a family with Robert was fulfilled with love and joy.
