EILEEN HOPPE (nee Stein)

Eileen, though a sinner, boldly knocked on Heaven’s door on January 19, 2024, age 100. By His grace, her soul walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, hearing His gentle whisper, “Welcome home.”

She has reached her greatest joy to be absent from the body, but present with Jesus, just as the souls of her husband of 38 years, Roland; parents, Henry and Clara Stein; in-laws, Anthony and Laura Hoppe; brother, Elmer; sisters, Marguerite, Ruth, Jeanette, Doloris, Audrey, and Betty; and her first love, Lt. John Starich.

She is survived by her dear son, David; friend, Beth; tail-wagging Labrador, Hannah; and many other relatives and friends. Eileen was the last surviving member of the Stein family and was an active member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church for over 60 years.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM. Service at 12:00 PM. Burial to be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Wood National Cemetery, 5000 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 11:00 AM.
