Edeltrud J. Rosauer

Edeltrud J. Rosauer was called home August 3rd, 2021, at the age of 83.

Beloved wife for 57 years of the late Bernhard. Dear mother of Stephen, Christian (Susan), Bernard (Laure), Caroline (Jack). Beliebte Oma of Ivan, Ingrid, August, Aaron, Johanna, Sophia (David), Grace (Ian) and Ben. Survived by siblings Goswin and Ursula, and 5 nieces and nephews, all of Germany. She cherished her 60-year friendship with Elisabeth Brandt.

Edeltrud was a model of deep, Catholic faith, and a proud German immigrant who together with Bernhard built a good life for their family of six in Chicago.

Trudy co-managed for many years Kuhn’s Delicatessen and Imports on Lincoln Ave. She was renowned, especially among her children’s friends, for her Apfel-Streusel Kuchen, and had a penchant for reminding her kids and grandkids to tuck in their shirts and polish their shoes. Mass and burial will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, memorial masses or donations to St. James Parish, Mukwonago, would be appreciated.
