Duane Crouse, age 77, of Delafield, formerly Milwaukee, entered eternal life on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. He was a proud father and grandfather, and a devoted husband.
He is survived by his wife Norma, his daughter Sandra (Brandon) Hottenstein, his son Scott (Bridget) Crouse, and grandchildren Hannah, Charlotte, Madeline, Gavin, and Brody. He is further survived by siblings Diane Randolph, Dwight (Jill) Crouse, Dennis Crouse, and sister-in-law Sandra (Keith) Croy. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Milfred, mother Eleanore, sister Donna (Tom) Lelinski, brother Charles Crouse, and brothers-in-law Richard (Bethany) Hacker and Jeffrey Hacker.
Duane was born to Eleanore and Milfred Crouse on September 15, 1948, the fifth of six children. He attended St. Lawrence Parish Grade School and South Division High School, before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 1967. He was honorably discharged in 1969 after serving in Vietnam.
While serving in the U.S. Marines, Duane met Norma Hacker at the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, Maryland. They married in January 1971.
Norma and Duane had two children, Sandra and Scott, and raised them at their beautiful home on Pretty Lake in Dousman. For decades, Duane and Norma hosted extended family and friends at their annual Fourth of July celebration.
Duane was Plant Manager at Apache Stainless in Beaver Dam before retiring in 2016.
In Duane’s retirement, he was dedicated to supporting and cheering for his grandkids at their sports games. His grandkids were his world. He and Norma attended everything they participated in: gymnastics, volleyball, wrestling, softball, baseball, and the occasional school choir concert. Duane was infinitely proud of Hannah, Charlotte, Madeline, Gavin, and Brody!
